Paper crafting and being grateful

Well, you just came from Diana Tillary and her amazing paper crafting creations.  I have a special place in my heart for the armed forces and first responders, it’s a unique life but an amazing one!  How have I survived the roller coaster of military wife and now a military mom? Paper crafting and family, is it cheaper then therapy? Not sure, but it sure is fun!

This blog hop is all about gratitude which automatically makes me think of leaves and trees.  I’m sure because of Thanksgiving in November here in the states.  But it’s summer so here so………

My gratitude is going in a little different direction.  I’m grateful for my mom, she is always there when I need here and always willing to help.  She will cut paper when ever I ask or be my chauffeur if needed. And her birthday is in a few days so I wanted to go BIG to let her know just how grateful I am for all she has done for me and our family.

I also didn’t have a lot of time, I feel like I am that circus act with the spinning plates trying to keep them all spinning.  Have you ever had a week like that? Hence why I needed a chauffeur :))

So Paper Pumpkin to the rescue! Have you heard of Paper Pumpkin?  It’s a paper crafting kit subscription that shows up monthly in the mail with some fun and exciting projects.

I’m grateful that I get this little kit delivered, so I can use it as intended or ramp it up a little or a lot.

Because I wanted to make a BIG Card, I decided to take a sheet of card stock and fold it in half so it measured 8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches.  I had some black and white striped card stock to break up the luscious lipstick card stock and then I  did just a little stamping, the stars on the white banner.  I basically made the card as intended I just cut the lemon lime twist card base and snailed it on.  Some of the items come with adhesive already so it’s just peel and stick.

For the inside, I used the stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

And here is the inside of the card

I have a ton of manilla envelopes so it’s easy peasy to cut and  tape up to mail.  I have some fun packing tape, This would hopefully be some happy mail!

Check out a close up of all that shiny bling!!

I am really grateful , because I don’t have to mail the BIG card,   I’m lucky to have my parents live right next door to me.  So I can hand carry it over to her when we get together for dinner, thanks Dad for cooking!

Happy Birthday MOM!

Hopefully this inspires you to click on to Tracy Bish and see her amazing, paper crafting  work!

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!!
