Christmas in July

Day 2 July 26, 2021

I am having so much fun creating these Christmas in July cards in the middle of the sweaty, humid summer!

First it makes me forget that it’s a gazillion degrees outside, and second it makes me feel ahead of the came. I’m a natural procrastinater so this is a good thing. Wanna get on board with creating some pretty Christmas cards in July

Designer Series Paper sampler Christmas card

This card has strips from the Designer Series Paper pack, Christmas Tidings.

Supplies

Ink: Evening Evergreen, Cherry Cobbler

Stamp Set: Evergreen Elegance

Cardstock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 Sahara Sand card base, Basic White (2) 4 x 5 1/4, Scrap Basic White for greeting,

Brass Foil Sheet (it’s retired, but what I had), Soft Succulent 1 3/4 x 3 1/2, Evening Evergreen 2 x 3 3/4

DSP: Tidings of Christmas 7 stripes cut 3/4 x 5 they are wider then the paper but I find it easier to lay them down and then trim the sides

Tools: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, Evergreen Forest embossing folder, Scalloped Contours dies, Stampin’ Seal adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Trimmer, Stampin’ Snips

Directions

  1. Take your Basic White card stock and your going to be laying your 7 stripes of dsp putting them in the order you want, and then using adhesive on each strip, trim the edges.
  2. Take your Soft Succulent card stock and stamp the tall thin tree from the stamp set in the middle. Then take your paper and use the Evergreen Forest embossing Folder and run it thru the Stampin’ Cut & Embossing Machine.

Stamp first then emboss your trees

3. I Stamped my greeting onto a piece of scrap Basic White card stock and cut it out using the Scalloped Contours Dies

4. I layered them all onto the front of my card using Stampin’ Seal.

5. For the inside i used Cherry Cobbler ink for the greeting and Evening Evergreen for the trees, make sure when you stamping the trees that your on scrap paper, your using just the tops of the trees.

Don’t forget that there is Designer Series Paper on sale til the end of the month, Tidings of Christmas is one of them.

I will see you guys live over on facebook Thursday at 10 am with another super awesome Christmas card!

Happy Crafting!!

Jennifer
